In 5 ABY, Cronus captained [[Sander Delvardus]]' flagship ''[[Brilliant (Star Destroyer)|Brilliant]]'' while Delvardus' forces were assembled in the [[Woostri system]] in preparation for an attack on [[Coruscant]]. When [[Sarcev Quest]] arrived to dissuade Delvardus from his plans, Delvardus left orders for Cronus to initiate the battle plan if he did not return to the bridge in an hours' time. However, Quest succeeded in convincing Delvardus to change his plans, and Delvardus then informed Cronus that they would be attacking [[Sullust]] instead.<ref>''[[Empire of Ashes: Fear]]''</ref>

At the [[Battle of Sullust (Delvardus campaign)|Battle of Sullust]], Captain Cronus was about to order a retreat towards [[Lununmo]] on Delvardus' orders when [[Jerec]]'s ''[[Vengeance (Vengeance-class)|Vengeance]]'' appeared in the system. Delvardus' forces were pushed against ''Vengeance''<nowiki/>'s shields by elements of the [[New Republic First Fleet]], and Cronus quietly voiced his frustration at the ''Vengeance''<nowiki/>'s refusal to fire.
