Galactic City, also called Republic City, and Imperial City during the reign of the Galactic Empire, is an existing Coruscant location from Legends.[1]

The district of CoCo Town within Imperial City was located at the edge of "respectable Coruscant," according to ambassador Sa-Di. Two major skyscrapers within that district were the Caramere Tower and the Pom Spire, the latter of which was destroyed by Baddon Fass in 5 ABY. Soon afterwards, the Pendarian embassy skyhook was deliberately crashed into Imperial City by Sa-Di.[2]

The main thoroughfare of Column Commons could be seen from the window of Ysanne Isard's office in a tower of the Imperial Palace.[3]
