The Hoth system is an existing star system from Legends.[1]
In 3 ABY, shortly after the Battle of Hoth, Zak and Tash Arranda and their uncle Hoole encountered the Keefe's Needle drifting in the Hoth system, where it had ended up after a series of increasingly erratic hyperspace jumps.[2]
