The Derida complex was a fortified compound in the city of Laressa on Phindar. Named after Guerra and Paxxi Derida, it was home to a secret Ubiqtorate base in 5 ABY. In the base, the Ubiqtorate had reconstructed the Renewal procedure developed by the Syndicat decades earlier. When they tested the Renewal equipment on Ken, however, he destroyed their equipment before being rendered unconscious by nerve gas. After this incident, Pol Vray-Boole was the highest-ranking Ubiqtorate officer in the complex. The janitor, Thorden Beesmax, called in the Inquisitorius to take care of Ken.[1]
