Mortis, alternatively known by the handles BasedKat09 and DeRigueurMortis, is an author of various Star Wars fanworks, including the Dark Days series. Most of her Star Wars works concern the largely-unexplored era of the early New Sith Wars, however she has also written stories set during the time of the Old Republic, as well as "what-ifs" and rewrites of existing canon material.

Outside of the Star Wars space, she is an author of original fiction, avid musician, and game designer with Rad Software.
