Biography
Funeral of Garm Bel Iblis
By 37 ABY, Sal-Solo served as the Minister of Defense for Corellia under Five Worlds Prime Minister Aidel Saxan. In this function, he attended the funeral of Garm Bel Iblis, which was held aboard the Guardian in the Corellian system. Saxan had not allowed Sal-Solo to hold an official eulogy, so he held an unsanctioned impromptu speech during the social gathering after the funeral instead. In his speech, he called Bel Iblis "the greatest son Corellia ever had", and emphasized Bel Iblis' independence and his warlike spirit as quintessentially Corellian qualities. His speech was received with enthusiasm by some of his Corellian supporters, but Saxan was furious at him, and Vice Minister Denjax Teppler notably did not clap along with the other Corellians around Sal-Solo.[2]
